Membership
Wānaka Musicians Incorporated exists to bring live music to Wānaka, by and for the people who live here. Each year we stage Stars in Your Eyes — our much-loved community variety show — and the proceeds from ticket sales cover the cost of putting it on. Whatever's left over, we give back locally to support music education in our community.
You don't need to be a member to audition, perform, or volunteer — everyone's welcome to get involved. Membership is about something a little different: it's how you help keep the organisation behind the show strong, well-run, and around for years to come.
Why join?
Have your say. Members get voting rights at our AGM — a real say in how WMI is run and where it's headed.
Strengthen the organisation. A healthy membership is the backbone of good governance. The more members we have, the more robust and sustainable WMI is.
Support local music. Your membership fee, along with the surpluses from each show, helps support music education here in the Upper Clutha.
First access to tickets. Members are the first to hear when tickets go on sale and may get priority access before they go on sale to the public.
How to join
Membership is open to everyone. It's $20 a year for adults and $10 for students, running from our AGM each year (usually in June). You can sign up online in just a couple of minutes — simply hit the button below.
